A Facility Permit Card is required for all Schenectady County residents, in-county commercial haulers, and out-of-county commercial haulers in order to use the Recycling Center & Composting Facility.
Facility Permit Cards can be purchased at the following locations:

A valid vehicle registration and $20 cash is required to purchase the Permit Card.
CASH ONLY - CHECKS AND CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
The Permit Card is valid for the current calendar year (January 1 - December 31)
RESIDENT PERMIT CARD HOLDERS:
Permit Cards are marked on each visit for yard waste disposal only, in 2 yard increments (i.e., a 6 yard truck would represent three visits). No more than 12 visits are permitted per card. When all 12 visits are marked on the Permit Card , residents will be required to purchase a new card for yard waste disposal. Unlimited visits are allowed for recyclables and bulk item disposal.
REPLACEMENT CARDS (All Permit Card Holders)
NO REPLACEMENT CARDS WILL BE ISSUED. If you lose your permit card, you will be required to purchase another card for the full $20 fee.
