County Initiative Program (CIP) Arts, History & Tourism Grants
The Schenectady County Legislature has dedicated arts and tourism funds to be distributed to local organizations in support of activities in the performing, literary and visual arts and/or historic preservation or that promote County tourism. The projects supported by the CIP grant funding provide significant benefit to Schenectady County residents and visitors, and enhances Schenectady County’s visibility and quality of life.
2019-2020 CIP Grant Applications Now Being Accepted
Anthony Jasenski, Chairman of the Schenectady County Legislature, is pleased to announce the continuation of the County Initiative Arts Grant Program (CIP) for 2019-2020. Dedicated hotel/motel occupancy funds will be distributed to local organizations in support of activities in historic preservation, the performing, visual, and literary arts, or programs promoting County tourism.
Organizations serving the Schenectady County community may apply. Potential applicants should be aware of the following guidelines:
- Proposed projects must take place between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2020, allowing the County to offer year-round support to worthy organizations.
- The application deadline is January 31, 2019.
- Additional consideration will be given to those organizations who demonstrate collaboration with other Schenectady County nonprofit organizations to complete the project.
- Additional consideration will be given to projects that are proposed as part of an existing or proposed Schenectady County Special Event.
