The Schenectady County Legislature today announced the return of the Schenectady County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Program for 2017
The Schenectady County Yard Waste Composting Facility and Resident Recycling Center is located at the Schenectady County farm on Hetcheltown Road in Glenville and is operated by the Schenectady County Soil and Water Conservation District. The facility accepts yard waste, residential recycling (including most electronic equipment), and offers compost, topsoil, and natural and colored woodchip mulch for sale to the public.
The facility is open Monday through Saturday from April through December and Friday & Saturday only from January through March. A Facility Permit Card is required for all residential, in-county commercial haulers, and out-of-county commercial haulers in order to use the Recycling Center & Composting Facility.
