Head Nurse - Glendale Home
Schenectady County’s Glendale Home has a full time opportunity for a Head Nurse.
This position involves responsibility for overseeing Nursing Care for a 40 Bed Nursing Unit.
This is a supervisory position involving responsibilities for maintaining high standards of professional nursing services. The work is performed under general supervision with latitude allowed for instructing, planning and making assignments to professional and non-professional staff.
The incumbent will perform job duties to accommodate residents’ needs including coordination with physicians, social workers, activities, dietary and rehabilitation services.
Salary: The 2012 base salary $50425.
(A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; OR
(B) Graduation from an approved three year school of professional nursing and one year of experience in professional nursing activities; OR
(C) Graduation from a regionally accredited of New York State registered two year college with and Associate’s Degree in Nursing and two years of experience in professional nursing activities; OR
(D) Any equivalent combination of training and experience as indicated in (A), (B), and (C) above.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION: Eligibility for a license issued by the State of New York to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Possession of the license at the time of appointment.
